  • I run on a daily energy drink and a well-organized plan. I’m a details person and usually the family planner–if there’s a trip, event, or schedule involved, I probably have already made a list or a spreadsheet for it. Outside of work, I love camping, being outdoors, family game nights, and warm days spent by the pool. Mom to 3 amazing kids and one dog who definitely thinks he is kid #4. I love a good book, and Trolli sour worms are a weakness I have fully accepted.
  • I am a California native who recently relocated to Arizona. I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends and am a proud mother of two daughters, both of whom are currently attending college. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, visiting Disneyland and the beach, cooking, hiking, fishing, staying active, and binge-watching a good show.
  • I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and two Master’s degrees – one in Elementary Education and the other in Special Education. I also hold a credential in Special Education with a specialization in Mild to Moderate Disabilities.
  • I am excited and honored to be part of the founding staff at News Point Academy and look forward to supporting students, families, and staff throughout the school year.
  • Trent DeVore is a dedicated educator, coach, husband, and proud father of seven. As a math and finance teacher, he makes learning engaging, practical, and approachable, while building strong, meaningful connections with his students and helping them grow in confidence.
  • Outside the classroom, Trent spends his time coaching his kids’ soccer teams, talking sports, and cheering on his busy family. Whether he’s on the field, in the classroom, or supporting his wife’s music studio, his energy and positivity shine.
  • Trent is all about serving others, building relationships, and showing up with heart. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he makes a lasting impact on everyone around him.
  • Meet Ryan Lea, a classroom teacher and soccer coach from Portsmouth, England. Ryan has played and coached soccer in four different countries, including England, Wales, China, and the U.S. His favorite memories include touring four Chinese provinces whilst playing for his high school and achieving his childhood dream of playing college soccer in America. Ryan’s areas of focus include psychology, leadership, research, literature, and social studies.
  • He likes all the stereotypical things: football, Harry Potter, and a cup of tea. He’ll even convince you that beans on toast is a hearty meal. His inspiration to move to America stemmed from watching Drake & Josh with his older brother. Ryan is excited to help students and athletes prosper at News Point!
  • Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been in Arizona for almost 10 years, and I’m still getting used to the heat. I love coaching and watching sports, especially basketball, cross‑country, and track. I’m a big fan of the Eagles, Braves, Avalanche, Trailblazers, and the Oregon Ducks. Between teaching, coaching, and raising two kids, caffeine is definitely part of my daily routine. Excited for an amazing year at NEWS Point Academy!
