Experience a Day at NEWS Point Academy

Interested in seeing what life at NEWS Point Academy is really like?

Prospective students are invited to join us for a Shadow Day and experience our school firsthand. Students will spend the school day alongside a current NEWS Point Academy student, meet members of our school community, explore the academic environment, and experience the athletics and leadership opportunities that make NEWS Point unique.

What to Expect

During Shadow Day, visiting students will attend all four class periods with their student host, including 1st Period Sports and Leadership Athletic Training.

Students will have an opportunity to experience the leadership, teamwork, athletic development, academics, and school culture that are central to NEWS Point Academy.

What Shadow Students Should Bring

Students participating in Shadow Day should:

• Arrive on time and wear appropriate athletic attire.
• Bring a change of clothes.
• Bring their own lunch and water.
• Be prepared to attend and participate appropriately in all four class periods.
• Follow school expectations and dress appropriately for athletic activities during 1st period.

Shadow Day is a great opportunity to meet students and staff, explore our curriculum, and experience the NEWS Point Academy community before making an enrollment decision.
